Licensing Information:  

Mathematica is a Site Licensed software with unlimited distribution for full-time faculty and staff use. Currently, there is no charge to the user for use of this software. However, this may be susceptible to change based upon availability of funding.

Request the Software

SIU-Owned Devices:

Full-time faculty and staff should complete the Wolfram Request Form. You will be asked to login to the Wolfram User Portal with your Wolfram ID. If you do not already have a Wolfram account, you must create one with your @siu.edu e-mail address. Once logged in, please include the location (building & room number) of the computer which this software will be installed on in the 'Notes/Machine Name' section. Requests without this information will be denied.

Personal / Home Use:  

Full-time faculty and staff may request one additional copy of the software for home use by completing the Home Use Request Form and using the SIUC activation key of L3486-3070. Alternatively, you can complete the Wolfram Request Form for a SIU owned machine that you travel with.

Student Requests:

Enrolled students should complete the Wolfram Request Form. You will be asked to login to the Wolfram User Portal with your Wolfram ID. If you do not already have a Wolfram account, you must create one with your @siu.edu e-mail address. Once logged in, please complete the entire form.  Requests without all information will be denied.

Computer Labs:  

SIU now authorizes Mathematica software over our network.  Please complete the Software Request Form. All information asked for is required. You will need to log into the form with your Network ID and password. If you do not have a Network ID but are faculty, staff, or other eligible person for SIU please visit the Network ID site and click the 'Claim Account with Dawgtag' button located on the top of the page. For further assistance with claiming your Network ID or to reset your Network ID password please contact SalukiTech at 453-5155.
