Multi-Factor Authentication

SIGN IN ONCE - USE YOUR SIU EMAIL ADDRESS

At SIU we are in transition; we are changing the way you access SIU systems and software. To make sign in more efficient, we have gone to Single Sign-On (SSO), meaning you sign into the system once to access most of your accounts. To make sign in easier, where we previously used Network IDs, you will now sign in using your SIU email address. Eventually signing in using your email address will be the standard, but during the transition period you may run in to one of two sign-in windows. Simply enter the information requested.

In conjunction with these changes, we are also moving toward Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This is a two-step process to verify who is trying to access an account. We strongly recommend that you take this opportunity to sign up for multi-factor authentication now. As of January 2021, MFA will be required to sign in to all SIU systems.

SEE THE DIFFERENCE

The easiest way to know if a system has been transitioned from our old system to the new sign-in protocol is by looking at the sign-in pop up window.

If you see the clock tower, sign in with your SIU email address.

If you see the predominantly Saluki Maroon sign-in window, use your Network ID and password.
