One of the other activities of the RCC team is helping and collaborating with researchers to provide infrastructure related information in their grant proposals. Contact us to find out more.
On the other hand the RCC team in working on different funding agencies solicitations, like the National Science Foundation (NSF) to improve SIU infrastructure and provide better service. The RCC is actively working on different segments of the NSF Campus Cyberinfrastructure - Data, Networking, and Innovation (CC*DNI) - Previously known as The Campus Cyberinfrastructure, Infrastructure, Innovation and Engineering Program (CC*IIE) - solicitation for re-engineering, integration and improvement of the SIU campus.
The CC*DNI program invests in campus-level data and networking infrastructure and integration activities tied to achieving higher levels of performance, reliability and predictability for science applications and distributed research projects. Science-driven requirements are the primary motivation for any proposed activity. CC*DNI awards will be made in seven areas: Data Infrastructure Building Blocks (DIBBs) - Multi-Campus/Multi-Institution Model Implementations, Data Driven Networking Infrastructure for the Campus and Researcher, Network Design and Implementation for Small Institutions, Network Integration and Applied Innovation, Campus CI Engineer, Regional Coordination and Partnership in Advanced Networking and Instrument Networking. for more information visit the NSF.
