The U.S. Census Bureau estimates robots will take approximately five million jobs by 2020…from people. The World Economic Forum, predicts a “Fourth Industrial Revolution,” characterized by unprecedented technology developments. While previous industrial revolutions catapulted the workforce forward, this one may set us back. Trends predict more than 5.1 million jobs lost to robots between 2015–2020. The gender pay/employment gap is also expect to expand. Why? Because women are underrepresented in STEM fields and employed in low-growth or declining job families.

Digital Leadership: Digital leaders are individuals are those who currate digital assets, including email and electronic documents, in full and congruous support of the organization. Digital leaders explore how information technology (IT) can help an organization become more responsive to customer needs and changing business requirements. Successful digital leaders also understand the importance, of inbound data and the processes within the company that support it, as well as the outbound digital information that the company generates.
Data Gravity: As Data accumulates (builds mass) there is a greater likelihood that additional services and applications will be attracted to this data. This is the same effect gravity has on objects around a planet: as the mass or density increases, so does the strength of gravitational pull. As things get closer to the mass, they accelerate toward the mass with increasingly velocity. As data accumulates (gains mass), applications and services are increasingly drawn to it and can become unable to break from it.
Narrative Science: using data and machines to automatically generate (through artificial intelligence) stories and insights. Forbes — one of financial journalism’s most venerable institutions — now employs a company called Narrative Science. The company’s clever machinery manipulates content and statistics to produce highly readable stories within seconds.
