SalukiTech Software Licensing

The Office of Information Technology maintains licenses for a variety of software titles used for academic instruction and research purposes. This software is generally available for distribution to full-time faculty and staff at no cost or for reduced rates. Student and staff options are available for most software. If you are unable to find the software that you need using the tabs below, contact SalukiTech for additional help.

If you are unable to submit a Software Request, make sure that you have claimed your Network ID first. For additional help, please contact SalukiTech at (618) 453-5155.

ArcGIS is a geographic information system (GIS) for working with maps and geographic information.

EndNote is a bibliography, citation, and reference management tool for Windows and Macintosh computers. This software is available for Graduate students only.

JMP is a suite of computer programs for statistical analysis

Mathematica is a symbolic mathematical computation program used in many scientific, engineering, mathematical, and computing fields.
*All enrolled students receive individual licenses, requested through the Wolfram Portal.

MATLAB & Simulink
MATLAB, the language of technical computing, is a programming environment for algorithm development, data analysis, visualization, and numeric computation. Simulink is a graphical environment for simulation and Model-Based Design of multidomain dynamic and embedded systems. MathWorks produces nearly 100 additional products for specialized tasks such as data analysis and image processing.

Get access through SIU's MATLAB Portal

Students have access to Office 365 which is a web-based version of Microsoft Office. Students may also download up to five free copies of Microsoft Office. This software does not need to be requested. 

SPSS is a statistical software which can conduct complex data analysis. 

TurnItIn is an online service to catch and prevent plagiarism. This software is available to everyone through Desire2Learn (D2L).
