IP ADDRESS AND SUBNETS REQUEST 

Southern Illinois University – Information Technology owns the following IP space:

  • IP version-4     131.230.0.0/16
  • IP version-6     2620:4E:8000::/48

The IPv6 space is not yet deployed on campus.

IP address and subnets are assigned by this department. All IP address requests, and changes must be registered with us. Adherence to the preceding conditions helps to avoid IP address conflicts and other connectivity problems for campus users.

IP and subnet requests are accepted from the LAN admin or IT Technical contact for the department listed here.

Submit a request for an IP address or subnet for your department at web.tikit.ai/requests. Include the following information in the request:

  • Name of the end user or service requesting the IP/Subnet
  • Name of the LAN Admin or IT Technical contact for Department
  • Name of Department on Campus
  • Phone Number
  • Type of Request: IP/Subnet
  • Hostname preference
  • Description of service
  • VLAN or Subnet information if available
