The RCC group’s mission is strengthening campus capabilities in research-related activities by providing exceptional computational power to researchers and their students. We work diligently to meet current technological and organizational needs. We also make every effort to anticipate the technology that our researchers, faculty, and students will need years from now, and are continuously preparing the systems and processes needed to meet these future requirements.
Our primary goal is providing the computational power needed to support advanced research on campus. Subsequent efforts to support this goal include developing reliable research/data storage, expanding bandwidth, and installing scientific visualization tools and process optimization efforts.
Upcoming Events
Research Computing posts upcoming announcements and events like BigDawg training, HPC seminars and demonstrations, schedule maintenance and improvements, and unique opportunities here. We also share news about SIU research using BigDawg in this space. Publicizing BigDawg research helps support and sustain high-performance computing at SIU. If you would like to post an HPC event or have news to share, forward the information to us. Please include dates, time, contact information, and direct links to event information.
