This document consists of a single workflow to use Entrust to encrypt and sign a file for a group.
Prerequisites:
- You must already have an Entrust account (see How to Create a State of Illinois Entrust PKI Account).
- You must already have the Entrust client installed (see How to Install the Entrust EESP Client for Windows).
- You must also already have a personal encryption group (see How to Create a Personal Encryption Group).
About this workflow: The example screenshots below were created in June, 2010, using Windows Vista and a system tray in the lower right corner of the display. You may desire to review the entire workflow before beginning. The estimated time of this workflow is 10 minutes. During this process, Entrust may or may not ask for your password as described in Entrust Spontaneous Password Entry.
The workflow starts here:
Figure 1, File to Group Encrypt
Locate the file to encrypt for a group as in Figure 1, File to Group Encrypt.

Right click on the icon for the file which you would like to encrypt for a group and click Encrypt and Digitally Sign File… as in Figure 2, Group Encrypt a File.

Click Next as in Figure 3, Encrypt Files Wizard.
Figure 4, Encrypt File for Others
Select Encrypt the files for other people in addition to myself as in Figure 4, Encrypt File for Others. Click Next.

Click Add… as in Figure 5, Additional Recipients.

Select Personal Encryption Groups in the Show drop down menu as in Figure 6, Selecting a Group. Select the name of the group for which the file will be encrypted (My Work Group in this example). Click OK.

Notice the name of the group is now listed as a recipient. Click Next as in Figure 7, A Group as a Recipient.

Select Delete and click Finish as in Figure 8, Finishing Group Encryption.

Notice that the file is now encrypted and the original file is gone as in Figure 9, The File Encrypted for a Group.
