HOW TO CHANGE AN EXISING ENCRYPTION GROUP
This document consists of a single workflow to use Entrust to change an existing personal encryption group.
Prerequisites:
- You must already have an Entrust account (see How to Create a State of Illinois Entrust PKI Account).
- You must already have the Entrust client installed (see How to Install the Entrust EESP Client for Windows).
- You must also already have a personal encryption group (see How to Create a Personal Encryption Group).
About this workflow: The example screenshots below were created in June, 2010, using Windows Vista and a system tray in the lower right corner of the display. You may desire to review the entire workflow before beginning. The estimated time of this workflow is 10 minutes. During this process, Entrust may or may not ask for your password as described in Entrust Spontaneous Password Entry.
The workflow starts here:
First, locate the Entrust client icon in the system tray. This icon is a person holding a key.
Figure 1, Entrust Icon
Right click the Entrust icon and click Entrust Certificate Explorer as in Figure 1, Entrust Icon.
Figure 2, Locate Work Group
Locate the work group, which is named My Work Group in Figure 2, Locate Work Group.
Figure 3, Work Group Properties
Right click on My Work Group (the name of the group you would like to change) and click Properties as in Figure 3, Work Group Properties.
Figure 4, Work Group Change Dialog Box
You will get a dialog box as in Figure 4, Work Group Change Dialog Box. This is the same dialog box used to create a group as in How to Create a Personal Encryption Group (see that document for more information about this dialog box). Add and/or remove people until finished and then click OK. Then, exit the certificate explorer.
If you made it here, then you have changed an existing personal encryption group.
